Distribution Assistant Cash Transfer Protection & Gender Officer ADRA Uganda

ADRA Uganda is looking to recruit various positions for a anticipated food distribution project (one-year & five months) on food/cash distribution to be implemented in Rwamwanja – Kamwenge District (South-Western Uganda) & also for her Country Office in Kampala. The anticipated position/s are:

Position: Distribution Assistant Cash Transfer

The position holders will each work with partners to ensure clear communication with affected communities, collect beneficiary data, prepare & share beneficiary list & registration form & share it with Cash Transfer Agent, monitor the cash transfer agents in processing the disbursements, prioritize vulnerable cases during distribution & provide needed support, manage conflict, deal with complaints, report on unmet needs & gaps.

Essential qualifications & experience:

A Bachelors Degree in Social Sciences/community development or any other related
field. 3 years of NGO/UN field experience in a similar position, good communication skills, ability to write weekly activity reports, excellent organizational skills, ability to determine priorities & attention to detail a must, understanding of gender, protection & human rights, strong networking & presentation skills.

Position: Protection & Gender Officer.

The position holder will manage the development & implementation of a gender equality & social inclusion in all project activities, offer technical support in mainstreaming of gender & protection, design, adapt, implement & maintain gender & protection including GBV monitoring procedures & information systems, provide psychosocial services to traumatized children & women.

Essential qualifications & experience:

A Bachelors Degree in Development Studies, social sciences, social work or relevant
field. Specific experience in setting up & running community-based gender & child protection programming, broad knowledge & understanding of gender & child protection issues, ability analyse information, evaluate options & to think & plan strategically, ability & commitment to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds & under difficult & challenging environments, excellent interpersonal communication & presentation skills.
